Dragon's Needle Embroidery Guild - Newsletter March - Embroidery Guild Badge

Dear honourable Lords and Ladies, gentle members of the "Dragon Needle Embroidery Guild" and "-eMail Group"!

Another month passed by and besides the fact that spring is approaching, I have a great information I would like to point out: the Dragon Needle Embroidery Guild finally has a registered Guild Badge due to the gentle help of Mistress Jaelle.

Guild Membership Roll:
I am very happy to announce that we have 2 new members - Lady Ameline de Leeuw and Elisande - now we have 42 members and with Lady Ameline de Leeuw we are also able to welcome the very first member from the South on the new Guild Membership Roll. :)

Guild Badge:
Our guild badge went out on a kingdom internal letter of intent in July 2008 and was registered by the Laurel Sovereign of Arms at the December, 2008 meeting: "Drachenwald, Kingdom of. Badge for the Kingdom Embroidery Guild. (Fieldless) On a dragon passant coward sable a needle palewise Or."
I want to thank Mistress Jaelle heartily for her great help concerning the registration of the Guild Badge and also for her gentle offer to provide a picture of our Guild Badge. :)

Guild Charter:
Sorry, still in progress - I hope I will be able to finish my first draft soon.

Greetings to all,

Here my first needle-book. It´s peal cotton on wool. The pattern on the front page was coined by the book “Fibel- und Gürtelmode der Hochgotik” from Gösta Ditmar-Trauth, page 42. The Flower is from a brooch (Fürspan) from Ekklesia from Straßburger Münster from the 1230 ages. The rest was fantasy.
